From initial concepts to a production ready facility in under two years, and on a budget, is a major achievement, particularly taking into consideration that the final product was being developed in parallel, and that this is the first facility of its kind.
A concurrent engineering project of this size required that Airbus had a partner rather than a supplier and the solution of using the same team to design and project manage the whole creep forming facility has paid off handsomely in substantial cost and time savings.
