Over the last few years M G Bennett & Associates Ltd has acquired a highly respected profile within the engineering world for its involvement in bridges and movable structures. This inspired Bennett Associates to put together a team of engineers with considerable knowledge and experience with a view to exchange information on their varied bridge projects.

Nick Cooper, BSc CEng FIMechE FR Eng, and Managing Director of Bennett Associates leads the highly qualified bridge team. Nick is primarily known for his detailed design of the operating and rotating mechanism of the complex wheel structure and mechanical interfaces for the Falkirk Wheel, the world’s first rotating boatlift. Bennett Associates was awarded the Structural Steel Design Award for its involvement with the Falkirk Wheel.
