The Company
Atkins, Rothereham is a team of detailed mechanical design engineers, specialising in the design of large machinery and materials handling systems. Our portfolio stretches across many industries, with projects as diverse as the Airbus A380 top skin forming facility, the Falkirk Wheel, and backup systems to some of the world’s largest tunnelling machines, together with an increasing focus on the nuclear industry. We specialise in turning complex engineering ideas into a technically viable reality.
We are seeking to grow our engineering team, to support current and future opportunities, whilst maintaining our engineering lead approach to projects. Our project scope spans the entire design process, from concept through analysis into detail design. Successful candidates will therefore possess both the ability to display innovative thought, but also enjoy final project delivery. Whilst project and people management skills are recognised, we are first and foremost seeking excellent draughtspeople.
Requirements
- Will include mechanical and structural projects
- You must be computer literate with sound AutoCAD experience
- Good communication skills and an eye for detail are also essentia
- Experience of using Catia V5 and Solidworks 3D software packages would be advantageous although is not essential
